Verbosity: A Webring

Verbosity is a webring dedicated to (as the name implies) verbose websites, sharing fiction, research, hobbies, reviews, coding, and other topics.

I don’t want to be too exclusionary, but sites that mostly feature graphics or (so far) very little content should probably join another ring instead. To be perfectly honest, it isn’t so much about the amount of content; it’s more that this webring will be for people (like me) who write a lot and often can’t help themselves! I, uh, expect this will include a lot of other neurodivergent people like myself, though…

Anyways, if your site is unduly small, or if you created it for aesthetics only, or if you are a minor, this webring is probably not for you. I guess you need to make the call, ultimately. I draw a hard line on the issue of age, though - adults only, because I am open to including sites within this ring which contain adult material. I won’t include anything pornographic, but NSFW is a possibility.

Sites about specific topics (fandoms, research, hobbies) are particularly welcome. And keep in mind that joining this ring does not mean you must somehow be endorsing the content of other sites within it. I respect that people differ in their perspectives, so I expect a variety. If you’re a total creep and your site reflects that, you won’t be added, though - this includes the usual types: assorted bigots, redcaps and other fash, etc.

I’ve never made a webring before, even back in the Before Times. This will be my first attempt, and I’m quite happy that today’s technical marvels seem to make it much easier than it looked back in 1999. In any case, please be patient and mindful that errors may happen.

Join

The webring is unfishished, and may be buggy, but feel free to join!

The webring has only a few sites added so far. If you’re interested in joining, please send a message via the below form with your information, as well as the best way to contact you, and you’ll be added. Provided I didn’t mess this up too badly. I think it works, in any case…

Once I've received your email, I'll send you a code you can paste on your site in order to be added to the webring. I hope to hear from you soon. Joining a webring (and creating one) seems complicated but it actually turned out to be relatively easy. I just hope I don't break it somehow.

Verbosity Sites Index

Here, we've an automagically-generated list of all webring members. I will likely replace it with a manual list of everyone's site, perhaps with small summaries. Right now, it only lists the URL.
