Fabled Links and Likeables

Welcome to a veritable whirlwind of links and likeable sites, almost all coming from the small web, places like neocities and beyond. This is quite the eclectic mix; some feature pagan and occult themes, whereas others are more poetic and literary. Some are web design inspiration or provide tutorials and help people learn to build their own sites, much better than I could ever hope to be. Others are artwork or fiction. If I end up adding more and more, I’ll probably have to organize these into categories!

There is a lot of variety here, so click around. Sites with a pink square are those for which I was unable to find a button - if one of those is your site, feel free to send me a button for it. If you would like to be added to this list, do contact me via one of my usual methods. I do not participate in neocities follow-for-follow (ie, federiefederi) things. If my site genuinely interests you, though, and you would like to swap buttons, feel free to drop me a line.

	Astraya	Astraya and I have quite a bit in common! We're both occultniks, seems like? Astraya seems to know much more about runes than I do, though, and I'm definitely enjoying the content about her experiences with spirits. I look forward to reading more of it.

	Bohemian Sultriness	Fritzi, an author of Beatles fanfiction and all-around 1960s afficionado, shares favorite music, games, movies and more, on a site that, while, impeccably coded, has a wonderfully-vintage appearance.
	The Aristasian Reminiscence Project	My own site, which attempts to shed light on the history and beliefs of the strange, cultish group I joined in my early teens via the internet.
	Café Rosé	Café Rosé is a weblisting for cute, pretty, soft, pop and kawaii websites run by adults.
	Surfscape	Surfscape is a web portal, inspired by the aesthetics and values of the early web era, to revive the spirit of a web that is free.
	Houdini Magazine	An online magazine focusing on unusual entertainment, unorthodox ideas, and all with a delicious, slightly-gothic flavor.
	Mooeena	Creator of many amazing and intricate pixel projects and tutorials. The honeycomb badges alone are extremely beautiful and a wonderful addition to your page!
	Adilene	A coding inspiration, and wrote the tutorial that I followed for setting up the music players.
	Dannarchy	A wild retro site! Provided my native neocities hit counter and update tracker.
	Foollovers	Excellent resource for creating cute, pastel, or elegant aesthetic sites on the small web. Entirely in Japanese, but easily translated with google.
	Lexiqqq	Personal site of a pro web designer where she shares graphic resources, information, and more. Beautifully designed!
	Museum of Alexandra	Explore the interests, writing and art of the titular Alexandra, a real person and also an interesting, creative character with many facets. In particular, the Zen Garden is useful and enjoyable.
	Hedgewytchery	A site that, having existed for (gasping from me, honestly) approximately twenty years, features a bit about traditional witchcraft (which is distinct from Wicca and what you might be familiar with).
	Elilenti	The author of this site seems to be doing some serious self-reflection, and doing it publicly on the site, too, which I definitely respect, given it takes courage. Inspires you to ask yourself questions, too.
	Macaque	This site has a lot of neat aesthetic features. The author is against copyright, which I respect but almost disagree with. There is a lot of cool writings about alterhumanity, a topic important to me personally, too.
	Decolonize Palestine	I don't support settler colonialism. I don't support apartheid in any form. Of course I don't support genocide in any form. I know you weren't expecting this amidst all the pink and twee links on this site, though. Visit it anyways.
	Pink Gallica	The blog of an expat living in Japan, this site merges Wordpress and the small web's sense of style in a way I really like. Misha has a rabbit as well, and I'm never not going to want to see a picture or two of a white, fluffy bunny, not to mention an expressive tabby cat. I also like reading from other expats.
	Ondine/Everwinter	Featuring a lot about books, languages, and general humanities-related matters, this is a great site if you love the dark academia aesthetic or subgenre. I find it particularly fascinating that the author speaks so many languages!
	18DOTORG	This person still plays on Second Life, so of course, I had to start following their site to read more about their exploits. I do miss that game occasionally. The coded domain name is so clever. Hasn't been updated in a while, though!
	Wind and Wildflower	Gentle, soothing, natural, and floral, this site features essays on topics such as paganism, recipes, and loads of links to archived sites. I really resonate with what Annie has written about Wicca, too. Could not find Annie's button!
	Mausoleum.me	Quite the opposite of Annie's, Q here has created a cyberpunkish rendition of a millennial-era website; worth visiting for the theme alone. I expect there will be more content soon, but the webmaster seems to have good taste in web design!
	Vanillamoth	Vanillamoth, who I met through a Discord server briefly, primarily writes in Portuguese. Her English work is of exceptional quality, and quite emotional, though. I suspect the Portuguese texts are similar, but alas, I can't read them.
	Dread Romantic	I've always loved vintage and frilly fashion, and this site features information about EGL clothing from the author's collection, as well as ball-jointed dolls, another item I've always been curious about because I know people collect them.
	Petrichoran	I absolutely adore Petrichoran's writings on alterhumanity, but was unable to find the button for this site. Definitely have a look at it if you've an interest in alterhuman topics such as fictionfolk, etc...
	Silver Moon	Oh my, it's Tallulah; another worshiper of God as She, as far as I've been able to gather, just like me. She seems more influenced by Filianism than I am, though. Shall I befriend her? Time will tell!
	Lady Magpie	Let me tell you - some sites, if coded properly and with a good aesthetic vision, live up to their name. This one does, giving the impression of a haphazard but lovingly-crafted collection of memorabilia and ephemera...
	Gaily Novelry	It's essentially a publishing house that specializes in queer and queer-coded fiction, particularly, it seems to be noblebright speculative fiction. I must say, that's exactly the kind of genre we need right now, isn't it?
	Clowdywings	Creative name. Creative color schemes. Doesn't it just make you want to take flight? I hope to see this site develop further, because there's not a lot of content yet (broken images), but what I am seeing looks very, very zippy and fun.
	Hardmachine	I'm just getting into this site. Hardmachine likes rats and rodents a lot, as do I. I used to raise Siamese fancy rats (long story). I'm also perusing the collection of essays and musings.
	The Garden of Madeline	There's so much growing here (in this garden, geddit?) that it takes quite some time to explore even just one page. Her artwork and pixels are beautiful, and I've plans to try some of the adoptables at some point.
	Solaria's Webspace	Great tutorials, especially the Javascript ones! I must say that the author, Simon, is a liar insofar as he claims his HTML is messy, yet the site works very well and is even quite responsive!
	The Quantum Pope	I don't quite understand all of what I am seeing on this site, despite being steeped in the occult since age twelve. This person is either a diehard chaos mage, an elaborate troll, or the golden ticket - both. Either way? I love it.
	Planet Pearlia	The website of a plural system. I have only discovered it recently, but felt like linking to it because they all seem like interesting folks with a great deal of creativity at work. The site itself is best viewed on desktop, but I prefer that.
	Cha0tician	A newly-discovered site for me. Small, but Comet and I seem to share certain interests and it's very exciting to read about other people's experiences! Could not find his button, sadly, but wanted to lik to his site.
	Your Local Grubdog	Grubdog is a furry, it seems. While I myself am not a furry (I wasn't able to meet requirements to sign up), I really appreciate their unique culture and reading about the creativity inherent in fursonas.
	Unverified Personal Gnosis	I just found this site and already love the vast amount of writing this person has put online in such a legible format, much of which deeply resonates with my own mindset. Could not find a button...

Did you enjoy this layout for displaying small 88px wide buttons? It sure beats a giant wall of them with no breaks and no site names or descriptions, in my opinion! If you’d like to use something similar on your own site, I’m working on posting the code for this soon. One zippy feature: if you use the optional JavaScript, it randomly shuffles the table rows, thus showing the sites in a different order to every visitor - no playing favorites like we did on MySpace!
